Sunderland Partnership - SCN Membership

network peopleSunderland Community Network have delegates and shadows who are selected to represent at different levels of Sunderland Partnership (SP). Delegates are there to raise the issues and concerns of Sunderland Community Network members at meetings of the Local Strategic Partnership.

Please note: To be a SCN delegate on the SP you must belong to a Voluntary or Community Sector group/organisation in Sunderland.

Why Should My Organisation Get Involved?

Members get information on services, projects and funding through our website and newsletter. They receive support from the networks officers with regular information about issues affecting the community and voluntary sector in Sunderland. More importantly we are working together towards having real influence over the provision of services and initiatives through meaningful involvement in the City’s decision making.

If your group or organisation isn’t yet a member of the network then think about it! You don’t have to do anything except register. Take a look at the rest of the website and if you have information that you would like to share about service provision or opportunities that would benefit the rest of the sector you can do so by simply emailing the information to info@sunderlandcommunity.org.uk

You know your area or community of interest better than the people who provide services, so it makes sense that your members’ views on how the area could be improved can be fed into the Network and SP so that you can influence the ongoing improvement of services and any regeneration projects over time. Your groups also have a vital link with residents and local people with special interests or needs such as people with disabilities who may not be a part of your group but may have opinions which are important when considering and planning future services for the area.
