In order to achieve its aims and objectives the SP requires a stucture.  The partnership generally functions at three levels, Strategic, Operational and Delivery.

Executive Partnership Board: - is strategic and responsible for overseeing the delivery, monitoring and evaluation of the Sunderland Strategy, allocating resources and commissioning services.

Management Group: - is responsible for operational activities, such as informing and implementing board decisions, performance monitoring and implementation of SP Action Plan

Joint Partnership Group:- is about delivery and is made up of Chairs from the Thematic Partnerships. The Joint Partnership Group was set up to provide a cross cutting hub to support, through collaboration, the achievement of joint targets amongst thematic partnerships.
